Clan Donnachaidh

Visit Website

Clan Donnachaidh approached LibertyEngine to transform their outdated template-based Wix website into a modern, user-friendly platform with full membership and donation capabilities. The existing site lacked the functionality to process recurring memberships or accept online donations, limiting the society's ability to grow and engage supporters.

We replaced the restrictive Wix setup with a custom-built website designed for seamless membership sign-ups, automated renewals, and effortless donation flows—all aligned with the society’s branding and goals.

Key Improvements

  • Full UX design focused on user journey for memberships and donations

  • Automated recurring memberships and renewal flows

  • Custom donation platform supporting individual and society-wide missions

  • Migrated and reorganized over 60 pages of legacy content for accessibility

  • Clear division between “The Clan” (history and heritage) and “The Society” (membership and events)

Impact

The shift from paper-based renewals to a digital-first experience resulted in a 21% increase in membership renewals, with a steady rise in new sign-ups from launch.

UX with Purpose

Given the site’s vast archive of historical content—some dating back over a century—we placed strong emphasis on information architecture. Our goal was to guide users efficiently through the dual narrative of Clan heritage and Society membership, helping them understand the value of joining and supporting the community through events and contributions.
