Knockhill Racing Circuit

The Project 

Knockhill is Scotland's Official Motor Racing Circuit. The circuit consists of unqiue twists, drops and climbs, attracting some of the very best Car and Biking professionals in the racing industry. 
Hosting both large specator events and offering driving experiences to race members of the public and race enthusiasts, Knockhill were in need of a comprehensive ticketing system to create, manage and sell multpile ticketing options for the various events and outdoor experiences that they offer all year round.  

As a venue, Knockhill can host up to 15,000 people at any one time. The ticketing system needed to not only cope with capacities of this scale for entry and scanning of tickets on arrival but for also the busy periods of online sales when a populate racing event would be released to the public for ticket sales.

What We Did 

We developed front end code to create a ticketing journey like no other. We developed this on our Liberty Engine system that was then integrated with the existing Knockhill Website. This means that the users would be able to browse the events on offer and book their tickets in one place.

This developement was strictly inline with the brand guidelines that already existed for Knockhill, whilst maintaining a light weight code for efficency of site speed and to provide a seamless user experience. 

Liberty Engine also created a Content Management system for the running of events at Knockhill. We implemented an integrated Ticket Office where Customer service staff could create orders over the phone, manage, change or book dates.
