Scottish Highers Online (SHO) approached LibertyEngine to transform their basic Wix site into a modern, user-focused platform. The original website lacked clarity, context, and functionality—making it difficult for users to understand how the courses worked or how to enrol.

Our mission was clear: redesign the entire site from the ground up, with a strong focus on user experience. SHO’s team was inundated with repetitive questions from prospective students, so we streamlined the UX to deliver clear, accessible pathways to course information, enrolment processes, and study support.

Technical Considerations & Integrations:
SHO uses a third-party Moodle-based Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). To ensure a smooth user journey, we fully integrated Moodle into the new LibertyEngine platform, allowing students to:

• Log in once to access both their account dashboard and Moodle courses

• Navigate between learning and admin areas without confusion or multiple logins

• Experience a cohesive and branded learning journey from enrolment to study
